Siddhars are a type of saint in India who are said to have had many powers and achieved a ‘god-like’ state through specific secret practices that were known only to them. These powers spanned from controlling time and space, to transforming the body, manipulating matter at the molecular level and achieving immortality.
There are five main Siddhars’ Jeeva Samadhi located at Madurai.
This is present inside Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple near Durgai Shrine.

from Madurai on the route to Rameswaram.He read the writings of Siddha Purushas, available in the palm leaves in his house, and through constant japam and meditaton he attained Ashta Siddhis. Swamigal traveled to many holy places, and realized Nirvikalpa Samadhi at the Pothihai Hills in the south. Later he served his guru, Chellappa Swamigal, for some time. When his guru attained Mahasamadhi, Mayandi Swamigal finally settled in Thirukkoodal Malai in Thirupparankundram. His Jeevasamadhi is at the foot-hill of Thirukkoodal Malai.

From the birth he was not feeded by his biological mother but the divine Lordess Meenakshi in Madurai temple fed him. Considered to be the incarnation of Shri Trilinkga Swamigal who attained “Mukthi” in Kasi. The Kulandai Ananda Swamigal has done some magnificient miracles to show the world that there is God and you have to believe him firmly. He attained Jeevan Mukthi in Madurai.
