Palani: Pilgrimage of Lord Subramanya is
one of the six places (Padaiveedu ) of Lord .It is the 3rd abode .It is at top of the hill Palani.

It is just 114 Kms distance from Madurai.

Special Info : The idol of Palani Andavar is said to have been made of “Navapashanam” by a siddhar called Bhogar . The presence of Bogar Samadhi is quite vibrant and the power of Bogar have pervaded everywhere in palani hills.

Thirupuvanam : is

Location: Madurai – Rameshwaram National Highway in sivagangai district of tamilnadu.

Lord Siva is called as Pushbavaneswarar and amman is called as Soundranayagi.

Rituals: This place is known for last rites to their elders in river Vaigai and light moksha deepam in this temple. It is holy place as Kasi in North India.

Distance : 18 Kms from Madurai.

Significance for: Temple of Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy

The temple and the island of Rameswaram have acquired this name because, Lord Rama worshipped Lord Shiva, the God of Gods here on return from Sri Lanka.

It is the longest bridge built on the sea. The length of the bridge is 2.2 km and it was dedicated in the year 1988.
Thanuskodi: is a small island was swallowed by cyclone in the year 1964.The remains after cyclone is Kodhanda swamy temple. You can reach Dhanuskodi from Rameshwaram on road. It is only 18 km away from Rameshwaram

Info: Tanjore the granary of Tamilnadu was a significant town in Chola era in A.D 11 & 14 Centuries. Tanjore is known for Arts , Literature and Handicrafts. Tanjore soil has produced poets of literature of ancient and medevial periods.
One of the trinities of Carnatic music St. Thiagaraja hails from Tanjore soil. The river Cavery runs in the soil Tanjore.

Tanjore Temple stands with its majestic tower and is more than thousand years old. The temple was built by the king Raja Raja Chola, it is the testimony of architecture.The temple is surrounded by the other side of the temple is river and dam.which protect the temple. The significance of the temple is the vimana stands from the sanctum itself.
The height of Vimana is 216 ft.. The kalasams have been made of Brass and the shadow of the tower is not falling on the ground.
There is a spectacular Nandhi ( buffalo) with length and breadth of 12x 19×8 ft. infront of Sanctum.
The walls of the temple exhibits the drawings of Chola and Naik period.

Other info The petname of Kumbakonam is Kudandhai. It is also known as temple city .
It is 313 km away from Chennai.

The second Sun temple is nearby to this Adhikumbasewar koil.
The temple corridor is of the size 750×252 ft including tower North , East and West directions. East tower with the ht of 128 ft has nine layers. The main god of the temple is Kumbeswarar.
