Siddhars are a type of saint in India who are said to have had many powers and achieved a ‘God-like’ state through specific secret practices that were known only to them. There are five main Siddhars viz Sundaranandar, Rama Devar, Macha Muni, Mayandi Swamygal, Kulandai Ananda Swamy Jeeva Samadhi located at Madurai.

Teaching Staff at Private Institutions, leading to Penury !
COVID-19 pandemic has changed the life style to drastic state throughout the world in a very short period.
I would like to recall the adage ” The real colour of people will exhibit at difficult time to any nation”- Paranjothi Mahan
Yes, we can see a lot of heartening instances like
- *An actor paid full month salary to his staff around 250 Nos though his hotel was shut down for a month,.
- *Lot of NGOs and individuals tried their level best to help each other.
- *A Matriculation school in Madurai has paid Rs 3,000 as special care to its staff apart from monthly salary.
Coming back to our topic about private school and college tutors:
CATEGORY I it is disheartening to hear that a set of school teachers not at all got their Apr 2020 salary.
Lecturers of private Engineering , Arts & Science colleges also being faced the same situation.
Their version is though they do not expect a full salary need at least part money or minimum support amount to face livelihood.
They quote as there are retail shops even they closed , but staff paid minimum of Rs 6,000 to meet basic family expense.
JOB TRANSIT:
You may not expect this category II, but practically this set of teaching staff is suffering and leading towards penury.
Are they Migrants? No .In so many private CBSE schools lots of teachers used to resign from employment by
31st Mar and join with other schools.
This year, by mid Mar 2020, COVID-19 lockdown announced, so now they are in limbo.
If they stay back, management may treat by any terms as they do not have any choice.
If they want to go, new management when will they allow to join and started to pay .?.It is a million dollar question.
“Alarming situation is a lot of teachers who gave consent to resign from their employment, not at all considered by both existing or new management.”
Indian employees are not gifted like Western country employees to get financial support during their job loss.
Yes, If three months notice period norm to safeguard for schools mean; what is social security for this category teachers during this kind of crisis?
I am not for or against any fraternity whereas it is time to consider and mutually support each other.
It seems structured crowd funding may be one of the best choice / solution to support teachers who are in job transit.
Let us hope for the best as teachers are leading and cause to shape life of our children.
Chithirai Festival 2021
Highlights of Chithirai Thiruvizha:
The month usually comes in Apr or May summer Vacation for most of educational insitutions.
It is customary of local people to host friends and relatives those reside in other towns and states.
Evening procession: It is quite attractive evening procession takes place at Masi streets , big crowd of people flock from various places of town.
10th Day festival: Celestial wedding of Goddess is very important among ladies. It is customary of local people to replace their nupital with new one and auspicious to do so and blessed.
Car Festival: 11th Day celebration on Masi Streets(3rd Square from
Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple) Also, a mark of unity to celebrate without any difference among people while you see car pulling.
“Ethir Sevai” festival is celebrated on the day before Alagar steps into river Vaigai. It is a tradition for the people of Madurai to welcome Alagar.
